Madhubani painting, also known as Mithila art, is a traditional Indian folk art form originating from the Mithila region of Bihar and parts of Nepal. Historically practiced by women on freshly plastered mud walls, it has evolved into a globally recognized style now performed on paper, cloth, and canvas.
